Cookie Policy

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Some are essential for a website to work; others are optional (for example, analytics or advertising). Under UK PECR and UK GDPR, non-essential cookies may only be set with your consent.
2. Cookies we use
- Strictly necessary (always on): authentication cookies from Supabase that keep you securely signed in, and a small preference for your chosen theme. These do not require consent, but we list them here for transparency.
- Analytics / marketing: we do not currently use these. If we introduce them, they will be off by default and only enabled if you choose "Accept" on our cookie banner.
3. Your choice
Because we only use strictly necessary cookies today, there is nothing to opt out of for the site to work. Our cookie banner gives Accept and Reject as equal choices; choosing Reject keeps only the essential cookies. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings at any time.
4. Local storage
To make the app fast and work offline, we store some learning progress in your browser's local storage (for example XP and answers). This stays on your device and is synced to your account when you are signed in.
